App- Last minute changes

A last minute that was made to the app was changing emojis so that they look less like emojis, this was pointed out to me when I was sharing what I had done and it would be a potential problem due to potential copyright and plagiarism issues. 

However, it was challenging to create unique emojis, since they would still function like emojis because the main purpose of them was to show friends' moods through a simple image so it could be seen at a glance, however, there are so many different styles of emojis so it was hard to make something that was totally unique. 

I tried out some different types of eyes, the first eyes I tried was adding white to the eyes but this looked a bit too much like googly eyes so they were quite comedic. I then tried reversing the grey and the white but to me, these looked a bit scary and a bit like they were missing eyes, this wasn't too appealing to me since I wanted these to be kid-friendly too and also when I tested a screenshot on my watch they were less visible than the grey on white eyes. I then changed the grey to dark green and made the dark green part on the white a bit bigger I also changed the mouths to dark green and for the red x emoji, I changed the colour to white. This looked much better, the only problem was they didn't look the best on the logo, but I knew that I couldn't have the log be different to the pea emojis in the app. 

I then implemented everything into the app on Figma and updated the presentation and the brand guidelines, this was a bit annoying to do but I think it was worth it.

I think the new emojis have a bit more personality to them, so I am glad I made that change.
