Photoshop: Rotoscoping
Continuing on from animating in photoshop, we tried rotoscoping (Animating over a video)
For our first task we created a document and imported a video of a buggy. We then used blank video layers to draw over the frames and add a drawn effect.
My first idea was to draw over the bridge but this didn't turn out how I thought it would. Therefore I went with my second idea which was to draw over the buggy. I used the smudge tool to make the lines look a bit watercolour-like and added smaller lines around the buggy to contribute to the flickering/light effect. I also added some colour on one of the buildings in the background, however it is so small that it is hard to see.
For this version I changed the blending options. |
The second task was to draw over this video:
Young man walking listening to music from his headphones - Free Stock Video (mixkit.co)
I had the idea for this to have the background to gradually appear (with colours?) everytime the person stepped, however this didn't really turn out the way I wanted (In the way which I attempted it). Therefore instead, I changed the background a bit so there was less details and then made it look as if the person was being shaded in. I like the colours in this piece.
