App Design- Logo and Branding
20 Free Web Safe Fonts For Designers To Use in 2022 (webdesigndev.com)
I looked at websafe fonts to get an idea of which I could use for my app. I ended up using a quite standard source sans font for the main text and a unique font for the logo/app name.

Here are the first interactions of my logo which I made in reference to a sketch I drew. I added a circular gradient to make the pea shapes look 3d and I added a simple outline of a peapod, I added gaps in this shape sort of like a neon light. I think these small gaps add some more interest to the design.
I chose a font that somewhat mimicked the logo, this font is called Oregano.
This are the colours I used in this first version of the logo :
I think it is quite a fun font, but it is still easy to read and it is round and has gaps similar to the logo.

I made this colour board on Coolors - The super fast color palettes generator!
I then went on to trial the logo on figma. I intended to use just a singular pea for the watch app icon, the full logo would be for the splash screen and branding.
I also looked at apple fonts, they use sf compact font for smart watches.
"iOS icon sizes range from 22×22 pixels, all the way up to 1024×1024 pixels. Since 22×22 is the smallest size the icon will be viewed at, it’s ideal to design the icon at this size first so you can ensure the design will be clear and identifiable at its smallest size."Sizes & Guidelines for Designing App Icons (iOS & Android) - Logos By Nick
I realised I needed to make the text bigger, to make it easier to read.
