Game - Developing the Kitchen model.

To develop the kitchen model for the game I duplicated the counter I made and made an alternate version with doors rather than 3 draws. This makes sense since my kitchen at home as well as the kitchens in my reference images have a mixture of draws and cupboard style counters.

Once I had the draws I started working on the sinks. I used a mixture of the inset, extrude, loopcut and bevel to make the sink shape and the tap. I also made a slight lip around the top of the sink to separate it from the countertop and changed the material. I also made sure to add a drain, since I was going for a semi realistic style. Once done with the sink I duplicated it for the other sink.

After this I worked on the wok counter, I took inspiration from this video : https://youtu.be/6OHBumeIkcY where they show a chef cooking with a wok. I thought this would be a nice thing to add since our characters name is Chef Wok, but I didn't make it too detailed since it would just be a background element.

Next I added the stove that Allaster made to the model:

Since this counter has different proportions I just took the essential elements of the stove and added them to the counters I had made, this required some adjustments but I think it turned out well.

I also added the fridge and shelves and the model was close to done.

At this stage I exported the model as an fbx file and imported it into the unity game.

The main problem I had was that the materials appeared different in unity so I had to adjust them. There was also a problem with the wok counter where part of it was see-through.
