The next scene was one where the boat would be sailing and the Grandma cat thinks of a boat ( Which she perhaps had in her childhood) and in the next scene they go find it ( Editing note: In hindsight, after finishing this project I wish I had added a scene in between these to show their journey and perhaps some obstacles which slow them down to help add to the story)

To make the first of these two scenes I first added the boat from the previous scene and adapted the waves so that they looped across the screen (This probably took longer than it should have because I had experimented with having the waves fade and change colour and I also made some mistakes along the way that I had to correct) Once this was done I added a thought bubble and drew the sailboat named "Marline" This was one of the key things I remembered from the dream that this story was based on, I'm not sure where the name came from since I don't know anyone with that name but I had to include it.

I used this image for inspiration of what shape the boat would be.

Once I had drawn the boat I experimented (and failed a few times) with animating the thought bubble fading in with the boat. I also wanted the boat to be a hover animation where it would show a sort of shipwrecked version of the boat. However, I had some trouble connecting the different animations since I didn't want the boat to be visible while the thought bubble was not. I ended up having to make the thought bubble the parent of the hover animation however when it is hovered over while the thought bubble is visible it makes the thought bubble vanish (to start the other animation) since the two animations both start with the thought bubble and boat being invisible so they can fade in. I wasn't really sure how to solve this problem so left it how it was, since it was a similar problem to the other hover animations and as mentioned before I didn't really know another way to achieve what I wanted without having to overcomplicate things. Also since I was close to the deadline, it didn't seem sensible to change all the hover animations so that they work a different way.

There is also a subtle rocking animation for both the thought bubble and the boat to give them more movement.

The final scene is where they find the boat, I wasn't sure what animation to add to this scene. In the dream that this story is based on they find the boat and the Grandma cat and the small cat gets left with the "Marline" boat and the other boat goes away so they have to swim home.
This seemed a bit too complex, so I did have the idea for them to turn into fish but that seemed a bit too complex considering I only had around 2 weeks left to finish the project and I still needed to add sounds, make sure everything is working, upload the files to make the project accessible, to make a walkthrough video and to make sure all my blogs are completed.
So I finished the work today by adding the background dock and putting the Grandma cat waving next to the "Marline" boat. I had used the Grandad cat as a base for the Grandma cat so I did have a problem where I accidentally changed the colour of the Grandad cats arm and I also accidentally deleted the Grandma cat from all the vehicles when I tried to remove her from the boat in the final scene. I managed to fix these problems though.
