Animate: Walk Cycle

Today we made a robot walk cycle in animate. The process was quite similar to how it was in photoshop. We first imported the guide below.

We then renamed the layer and added more layers for the head, body, arms and legs. For the legs we used two layers, one for the top part and one for the bottom. For the arms we used the bone tool, so it was important they were mostly the same part. I had made more complex arms but these did not work with the bone tool so I had to simplify them by setting the lines to fill (Which turned all the outlines into part of the shape) and then filling everything with the same colour.
Like with the photoshop walk cycle I made symbols for all of the parts except from the arms, added the arm bones and then added in a second set of keyframes and moved the guide over. After locking the guide I adjusted the parts in the second keyframe. I continued this until the walkcycle was complete.

After this I made a slower version and I also added tween to one of the robots to make it walk across the screen.
