"The Past Within" Gameplay video review

 This creepy puzzle game tests our communication skills (The Past Within) - YouTube

I watched this video on YouTube of the gameplay of a game called "The Past Within".

It's a really interesting 2-player puzzle game somewhat similar to "Keep talking and nobody explodes" (A bomb diffusing game where 1 person has a manual to diffuse the bomb and the 2 players have different screens so have to communicate verbally to solve puzzles and diffuse the bomb in time). The game also has escape room vibes. 

In the game "The Past Within" the two players represent characters from the future and the past. They both see different rooms and have to communicate to solve puzzles and find pieces to activate a machine. There is also an interesting storyline tied to the gameplay, but it is a bit dark. 

For one of the puzzles 1 of the players had a keyboard with "XYZ123" as buttons, the other player found a corresponding code which could be typed in with these buttons. When inputted it would print a hint for where the next code is, for instance, one was in the mirror.

Above is another one of the puzzles where one player has to guide the other player through a maze which they cannot see. Overall this game seems very interesting.
